In our experience in organizing and facilitating family reunions, we have come to deeply appreciate the significance of such gatherings. The efforts involved can seem daunting and may discourage some from taking on the task, but the healing and reconnection we witness time and time again convince us that the benefits far outweigh the work. Our sincere desire in creating this booklet is to share some stories (names have been changed to protect identities) we have witnessed and been a part of and to simplify the process of creating your own reunion so your family can experience the strengthening bonds and unity that is its own reward.
